Pear and Berry Crisp with Lavender

​The addition of lavender buds to this recipe elevates this crisp to a whole new level! We think you'll enjoy this heart, healthy dessert the whole family will love.

​Pear and Berry Crisp with Lavender 


1 cup of fresh blackberries 

1 cup of fresh raspberries 

3 TBS. of brown sugar 

1 TBS. of fresh lemon juice 

1 1/2 /TSP. cornstarch 

2 pounds of pears peeled and cut into 1" pieces 


½ cup of regular oats 

1 TSP. of lavender buds 

¾ cup of almond, coconut or all-purpose flour

¼ cup of coconut or raw sugar 

½ TSP. of Salt 

¼ cup of chilled butter or coconut butter cut into small pieces 

3 TBS. of honey 

To prepare Filling: 

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees 

2. Combine all filling ingredients in large bowl and mix well 

3. Grease 8" square baking dish with coconut oil and spoon in mixture 

To prepare Topping: 

1. Place oats in a food processor and pulse until coarsely ground

2. Add lavender buds and pulse until coarsely ground 

3. Place oat mixture in a large bowl and add flour, sugar and salt and stir to combine 

4. Cut in butter/coconut butter with pastry blender or 2 knives 

5. Spread topping over filling and press down lightly

6. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until slightly brown and bubbly
